Professor Vijay Pereira is a Distinguished Full Professor of International and Strategic Human Capital Management with a global academic footprint. He currently serves as the Department Chair of People and Organizations at NEOMA Business School in France, while also holding Full Professorships at the Goa Institute of Management in India and the University of South Pacific in Fiji. In addition, he has adjunct roles at the University of Portsmouth and the University of Manchester, and he has held a notable visiting professorship at the Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

Research and Scholarly Impact
Professor Pereira is widely recognized for his prolific research output and leadership in international business studies. Ranked in the top 1 percentile of publishing scholars globally (2019–2024) and the highest-ranked in Europe (P-rank), his work spans over 250 publications in leading outlets such as Human Resource Management, Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, and the Journal of Business Ethics. His contributions include authoring and editing more than 20 special issues and 10 books, as well as featuring in premier Academy of Management journals like Academy of Management Perspectives and Academy of Management Discoveries.

Professor Pereira serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Studies of Management and Organizations journal and as the Global Real Impact Editor for the Journal of Knowledge Management. He is also an active member of the editorial and advisory boards for prestigious journals including Production and Operations Management and the Journal of Management Studies, both highly ranked by the Financial Times.

Leadership and Professional Engagement
A respected leader in his field, Professor Pereira has held key positions in professional associations. He has served as Vice President of the Academy of International Business (AIB) for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, is currently the President-Elect of the Indian Academy of Management, and is the elected President/Chair of AIB Western Europe.
